The Illinois system of funding schools has been broken long enough. We are calling upon Governor Blagojevich, Mayor Richard Daley, House Speaker Mike Madigan, and the Business Community to publicly support legislation designed to fix this problem.
To date, none of these individuals have publicly supported any legislation designed to fix this problem, and the Business Community has actively opposed any legislation.
Therefore, since the Business Community is boycotting us- we will boycott them.
We, the undersigned will not shop in any downtown Chicago stores or eat in any downtown Chicago restaurants beginning November 28th, 2008 thru December 26th, 2008.
We hope this matter is given the highest priority and can be resolved quickly.
