“THREE CAUSES, ONE WALK” WALKATHON
supports solutions for breast cancer, HIV/AIDS, and domestic violence. These silent killers are devouring our people, especially women. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among African- American women, exceeded only by lung cancer. HIV is the leading cause of death for black women aged 25-34 years. Fifty percent of female homicides and manslaughters are victims of domestic violence. In three years, we have raised more than $130,000 to offer greater support to agencies that are at the forefront of the fight against these three deadly diseases.
